Upcoming Training Events:Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) related training in Fairbanks April 22nd to April 25th 2008. Jason C. Burke, State of Alaska Coordinator will put on this week long training at the Tanana Valley Campus (TVC) and the Carlson Center. You can sign-up for our general sessions of the EEO/Sexual Harassment Training. If you would like to sign up, please email fyeeo@uaf.edu with the words "Training Sign-up" in the subject line of the email. Someone from our office will respond to your email telling you what dates are available. EEO/Sexual Harassment TrainingThis training covers EEO Laws and statutes, definitions, guidance on sexual harassment, and employer liability. Separate training sessions are conducted several times a year for supervisors and employees. Special training sessions are conducted periodically for graduate teaching assistants and , residence life staff and student employees. Please contact this office to schedule a special training session for your college, school, institute or department. Recruiting a Diverse Workforce TrainingIn accordance with the Affirmative Action Program, the Office of Equal Opportunity conducts training for hiring authorities, supervisors, and search committees on developing effective recruitment techniques to attract, identify and hire the applicant that best meets their needs. This office also works with search committees to advertise executive, faculty and high level positions in venues that target women and minorities.
