Natalie GittoI spent a great deal of time deciding whether to continue my education at McGill University Graduate School in Montreal, Canada, or to combine a graduate degree with a truly unique life experience: living in a cabin in Alaska. Common sense won, and I chose to pursue a graduate degree with a healthy dose of adventure at the University of Alaska. Fairbanks. The Northern Studies program not only offers a breadth of fascinating lectures about the Arctic, but these courses are also taught by world-class faculty. I am currently working towards my Ph.D. in Northern Studies/Tourism Management. Naturally, as a student of tourism, I am obliged to carry out extensive fieldwork. I strongly encourage all those with a love of learning and an adventurous spirit to consider the Northern Studies program at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks: earn an advanced degree from an internationally recognized university while answering the call of the wild! |
