Administrator Bio - Ann Ringstad

Associate Vice Chancellor

Ann Ringstad assumed responsibilities as associate vice chancellor for university advancement and community engagement at UAF in September 2004, and for UAF University Relations in February 2005.

Ringstad has more than 24 years of experience in government relations, advocacy for education, community affairs and university administration. Her background also includes 10 years of experience in business and corporate management in the private sector.

Ringstad was the director of state relations for the University of Alaska statewide administration from 1997 to 2004. She also served as assistant to the president. She served as chief of staff to various Alaska State legislators from 1983-1997, focusing on the state budget and state affairs issues.

Ringstad is a lifelong Alaskan. She earned an associate of arts degree from UAF in 2005 and a B.A. in business and history at UAF in 2006. She is now pursuing a master's degree in Public Administration.
