Alumni Drive restricted to one lane beginning July 24

The Alumni Drive entrance to the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus will be restricted to westbound, or uphill, traffic for about six weeks beginning July 24. Eastbound traffic will detour to Thompson Drive or to the Farmer's Loop entrance. Speed will be restricted to 10 mph through the construction zone.

The traffic restriction is necessary to complete the first phase of an electricity distribution system upgrade project.
