Fairbanks Daily News-Miner columnist Dermot Cole will speak about Alaska’s first 50 years as a state during a free public lecture Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. at Schaible Auditorium on the UAF campus.

His lecture is part of the Discovering Alaska lecture series. The series is sponsored by UAF Summer Sessions and offers free public lectures with Alaska artists, authors, historians and scientists.
