Scientist to speak about aurora

University of Alaska Fairbanks aeronomy professor Dirk Lummerzheim will speak about the colors of the aurora and what causes them during a free public lecture Wednesday, June 24 at 7 p.m. at Schaible Auditorium on the UAF campus.

His lecture is part of the Discovering Alaska lecture series. The series is sponsored by UAF Summer Sessions and offers free public lectures with Alaska artists, authors, historians and scientists.

Lectures run throughout the summer on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. For a full schedule, visit www.uaf.edu/summer.
