Show to highlight Visual Art Academy works Submitted by Marmian Grimes Participants in the fifth annual University of Alaska Fairbanks Visual Art Academy will showcase their work June 18-19 in the UAF Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Complex. The show opens Thursday, June 18 from 4-6 p.m. and work will be on display Friday, June 19th from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The academy draws students in grades 6-12, who spend two weeks taking beginning and advanced courses from Alaska visual artists in a variety of media.
