Biologist to speak on hibernation Submitted by Marmian Grimes University of Alaska Fairbanks biologist Brian Barnes will speak about how animals such as frogs, insects and bears survive the winter during a free public lecture Wednesday, June 10th at 7 p.m. at Schaible Auditorium on the UAF campus. His lecture is part of the Discovering Alaska lecture series. The series is sponsored by UAF Summer Sessions and offers free public lectures with Alaska artists, authors, historians and scientists.
