ACCAP highlights fire-forecasting tool

The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy will host a statewide teleconference showcasing a new Web-based wildfire-forecasting tool Tuesday, May 19 at 10 a.m.

ACCAP is testing a pilot Web site that forecasts the magnitude of the upcoming fire season for Interior Alaska. Consultant Paul Duffy of Neptune, Inc. will be available to discuss the pilot site.
