Historian to speak on Tony Dimond

University of Alaska Fairbanks history professor Mary Mangusso will give a free public lecture Tuesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at the Noel Wien Library.

The lecture, “Anthony Dimond, Alaska and National Security,” will focus on Dimond’s role as an Alaska lawmaker and how his concern about the state’s strategic location led to the pre-World War II military buildup in Alaska.
