Facilitation workshop registration open to UAF community

The UAF Northern Leadership Center will offer a facilitation workshop Sept. 12-13. Registration is open to the UAF community.

The two-day workshop will include information on how to:

• define the role of facilitator
• set norms and ground rules
• identify facilitation styles
• energize a group
• scope and assess the group's issues/needs/objectives
• keep the group on track
• handle group dynamics
• inject enthusiasm and energy into a long, intense session
• design and manage an agenda
• deal with a group that is stuck
• deal with the emotional triggers
• present the results of work
• create systems for follow-up

The workshop will include opportunities to practice new skills. A training manual will be sent prior to the session.

The workshop itself is free, however, there is a $30 materials/lunch fee. Space is limited to 18. To reserve your space, send an e-mail to fynlc@uaf.edu.
