Hamilton honors Leadership Program director

University of Alaska President Mark Hamilton recently recognized UAF Leadership Program director JJ Boggs with a 2008 Staff Make Students Count award.

Hamilton made the announcement at the UA Board of Regents meeting in Anchorage on Wednesday, June 18.

Boggs has been withy the UAF Leadership Program since 2004. The program provides a variety of leadership development opportunities for students and recognizes successful student leaders.

The award recognizes university staff members who offer outstanding service to students, either as part of their jobs or through volunteer activities. Recipients receive a plaque, $1,000 and two domestic airline vouchers.
