Scholarship seeks applicants for 2008-2009

Latinos Unidos del Norte is seeking applicants for two scholarships to the University of Alaska for the 2008-09 academic year.

The group will award one scholarship to a college freshman who graduated from any high school in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District and one to a continuing student at any UA campus.

Scholarship winners will receive a one-year tuition waiver and $1,000 toward other educational expenses. Applications and more information are available by contacting the UAF Office of Multicultural Affairs at 907-474-7300. The application deadline is April 18, 2008.
