Summer Auditorium Shows (May 15 - September 15)

Shows are presented several times daily throughout summer in the museum's Arnold Espe Auditorium. Purchase a museum show pass at the admission desk for unlimited access to our summer shows.

Dynamic Aurora

Daily in summer: 10 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, 5PM and  7:30 PM

Dynamic Aurora captures the beauty of the northern lights and explains this high-latitude phenomena from scientific and cultural perspectives. Presented in partnership with the UAF Geophysical Institute. (30 minutes)

Winter

Daily in summer: 11 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM

Winter gives visitors insight into our longest season. Learn about the natural phenomena, adaptations to life in the cold and the activities that sustain Alaskans through winter and into spring. (30 minutes)

Additional showings may be scheduled. Ask about the current day's schedule at the museum admission desk.

Audio Guide

Hear wildlife calls, Alaska Native languages, historic footage and more. Select from 76 segments that complement - but do not duplicate - the material on display. Available for an extra charge at the admission desk.
