What to See

Alaska.org Recommended Fairbanks Attraction

Dramatic architecture and distinctive exhibit galleries make the University of Alaska Museum of the North an extraordinary destination.

Plan a minimum of three hours to explore the museum's five exhibit galleries, with additional time to find the perfect gift in the Museum Store and to take in one of our 30-minute summer auditorium shows.

What Others Are Saying

"This rich, interdisciplinary on-campus museum, long one of Alaska's best recently added a spectacular expansion... Enough to keep your interest for much of a day..."

- Frommers.com

"No visit to the campus - or really the state - is complete without a trip to the university museum. Massively expanded in 2005, the museum is a one-stop spot for the arts and culture of the state."
