Location & Geography
The Yup'ik village of Toksook Bay is on Nelson Island, located about 6 miles southeast of Nunivak Island . In 1964, most of the population of Nightmute migrated to the village of Toksook Bay so they wouldn't have to travel long distances back and forth from Nightmute to their fish camps every summer.
