Community Projects: Meeting Dog Mushers
After Robin Davis' 2 nd grade class used Northern Journeys: "Dogs in Alaska" as part of their classroom curricula, they came to the Museum to tour the galleries and to meet two dog mushers with dogs and sleds. The mushers, Carol Kleckner and Carol Kaynor, demonstrated dog grooming, lead dog qualities, and sled and harness gear. The students helped videotape the presentation and edit the footage back in the classroom. The video here was filmed and edited by museum staff.
