About the Artist

Brian Allen has been a photographer and teacher for more than twenty years. He was born in 1953 in Connecticut, and has lived in Fairbanks. He has studied and worked in New York City and Seattle. He and his wife now live in the Seattle area where he continues to work in photography.

Allen's photographs show his skill with a camera and his attention to detail. His photos show us scenes of everyday experiences. He tries to make images that surprise the viewer. He believes that photographs of everyday life have the power to help us think in new ways about our world and ourselves.
