School Groups
A field trip to the museum is a great way to enhance your students' learning experience about Alaska related topics.
University Level
If you'd like to learn about museum research in detail, a great way is to take a class from one of the staff! Many other university classes take advantage of the museum's collections and exhibits. UAF students who pay the student activity fee are admitted free to the museum (with a Polar Express Card). If you are an instructor interested in bringing your class for a visit, please contact us to schedule. We will help you arrange the optimum time and can give ideas for touring.
Secondary (7-12th grade)
Bring your students to the museum to explore art, science, history, and more. We are a wonderful resource for Alaska Studies. See the Tour On Your Own! page for more information about visiting the museum with your class.
Elementary (preK-6th grades)
Enhance your lessons on a variety of topics through a trip to the museum. See our Tour On Your Own! page for information and activity ideas for self-guided visits.
Docent Led Tours are for local public, private and home schools. The schools are allotted a number of tours at the beginning of each semester. These popular programs on a variety of topics are taught by volunteers from the community. See the Docent Led Tour page for more information.

Thanks!
We appreciate the support of Flint Hills Resources. A multi-year partnership (2006-2009) has allowed us to grant students visiting the museum on docent led tours free admission.
