The "Baldies" staged a memorable college stunt in 1929 when they decided to become human billiard balls. Freed Beeler (front row on the far right) recalled that in 1929 he and several other dorm residents decided to form their own unique billiard club. Each member got a "billiard ball" hair cut and had a red number painted on the back of their heads. As a charter member, Beeler was number 1. The club folded when their hair grew back.
