Logging into E-Live (Provided by MCC)
Please note the images below are taken from an Apple/Macintosh screen. Images on a PC computer should look similar though may contain some minor differences.
Step 1: Selecting the E-Live Classroom
Click on the link below which corresponds with the E-Live course which you are going to access.
- Smokehouse
- Salmon Fishing
- Egg Island
Step 2: Entering a Login Name
Select the box highlighted in the image below. Enter your name in the field as you would like it to appear to the classroom (i.e. Jane Doe or Jane D.) Click the "login" button to continue.
Step 3: Downloading the Meeting
When the image below appears on your screen wait a few seconds for the download to start. If the download does not start automatically, select the "click here" link shown in the picture.
Step 4: Opening the Java Web Start File
When the image below appears on your screen press the "okay" button to continue on. Make sure the "Open with" option has been selected.
Step 5: Trusting or Accepting the Download
When the image below appears select the option to "trust" or "accept" the access request.
Step 6: Selecting a Connection Speed
When the image below appears choose the fastest "connection speed" you have available. If you do not know what your speed is select "56k" from the list. Click the "okay" button to proceed.
Step 7: Begin Using E-Live
Wait for files to download and install. This process may take a few minutes depending on your connection speed. Once the downloads are complete you will see the E-Live classroom and your "login name" will be present on the left hand side of the screen.
