Recommended changes to circulation and parking plan—parking and transportation fees for AY05-06

At a special meeting on November 18, 2004 , the UAF Master Planning Committee approved the following recommendation regarding parking and transportation fees for the 2005-2006 academic year. It did so based upon a recommendation from its Circulation and Parking Subcommittee and in consultation with Facilities Services/Parking Services, Vice-Chancellor Neumayr, and Associate Vice-Chancellor Trubacz.

Your review and approval of this recommendation is requested.

The specific recommendation is as follows:

The Master Planning Committee recommends the following with regard to parking and transportation fees for the 2005-6 academic year, based upon a recommendation from its Circulation and Parking Subcommittee and other considerations:

 The MPC makes this recommendation with the expectation that a proactive public information campaign will be instituted to explain the rationale for these changes to the broader campus community.

 MPC members voted 9-1 with no abstentions in support of this recommendation; ten members were present—a quorum being established.
