Approval of UAF Circulation and Parking Plan, March 2004

At its regularly scheduled meeting on February 2, 2004, the UAF Master Planning Committee approved the following recommendation (MPC 04-01) regarding the revised UAF Circulation and Parking Plan (attached). The recommendation reads:

The MPC approves the report of its Circulation and Parking Subcommittee with modifications made by the MPC and forwards that amended document to the Chancellor for consideration and approval. Upon approval of these recommendations (in whole or in part), the MPC is ready to create a plan for implementation. (Motion—Craven, second—Seifert; vote 10 yeas, 1 nay, 0 abstentions).

The recommended plan, dated March 2004 in its final printed version, is based upon the excellent work of Kittelson & Associates and the MPC's Subcommittee on Circulation and Parking. Their collaboration produced a draft document (dated August 13, 2003) that was then reviewed by the MPC. The March 2004 final plan includes modest revisions and represents the MPC's formal recommendations to you about circulation and parking.

The MPC expresses its sincere appreciation to members of the Circulation and Parking Subcommittee and its chair, Professor Shirish Patil, and staff in Facilities Services and Parking Services for their dedication and hard work.
