Based on a recommendation from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Master Planning Committee (MPC), Chancellor Marshall Lind established the Circulation and Parking Subcommittee (CPS) to the MPC. The subcommittee was charged with developing a long-range plan for circulation and parking for the UAF campus. This UAF Campus Circulation and Parking Plan is the result of the collective efforts of many groups and individuals over a one-year period.
The CPS members thank the consultant team, led by Kittelson & Associates, Inc. (KAI), for their transportation, economics, and design expertise, which forms the technical basis for most of this report. The KAI report is available upon request from the MPC.
The members of the CPS also express their sincere appreciation to all the students, faculty, staff, and members of the Fairbanks community who provided valuable comments during the public meetings and via the web surveys. Thanks to their insights, this plan contains many recommendations for UAF to consider in its future development.
