Is there anything better than a good book? Only if it's a good book on sale. The Elmer E. Rasmuson Library will be offering several good for sale during the Last Great Surplus and Duplicate Booksale on Friday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Regents' Great Hall on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.

Approximately 4,500 duplicate or obsolete books, journals, sheet music, recordings and other items will be offered to the public during this event. Proceeds from the sale will go to the library's book fund. In the future, surplus and duplicate items will sold on an ongoing basis at the Rasmuson Library's circulation desk.
