SUBJECT: SOUTHBOUND LANE OF TANANA LOOP CLOSED
DATE & TIME: Now through Oct. 17, 2000
LOCATION: Tanana Loop from Taku intersection to Bunnell Bldg.
DETAILS:
Due to construction activities at the Duckering Building, the southbound lane of Tanana Drive from the Taku intersection to the Bunnell Building will be closed from Sept. 29 through Oct. 17, 2000.
During this time, traffic approaching campus on Taku from Farmer's Loop will NOT be allowed to turn left at the top of the hill onto Tanana Loop.
Southbound traffic on Tanana Loop will be detoured to Farmers Loop Road on Taku and reenter the campus through the Alumni Drive entrance at the intersection of College Road and University Ave.
The $13 million Duckering renovation project includes upgrading the mechanical systems, electrical systems, exterior building envelop, renewal of lab spaces, replacement of worn interior finishes, upgrade of the fire alarm, sprinkler, emergency lighting systems, improvements required under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and providing telecom/data cabling throughout the building. The Duckering building is home to UAF's School of Engineering.
