Remote Access Printing Problems
If you have difficulty printing telnet screens.
Try one of the following:
1. Copy and paste into a word processing program.
(e.g.: Notepad, WordPad, MS Word, Word Perfect, etc).
- Select the text to be printed by placing the cursor at the top left
of the text.
- Click and hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor to the
end of the desired text.
- Release the mouse button. (The text should be highlighted.)
- Under the EDIT pulldown menu, select COPY. A copy has now been placed
on the Windows clipboard (a temporary storage space). This copy will
remain there until additional material is copied, or Windows is shutdown.
- Open a word processing program and place the cursor in the document,
then click on the PASTE button, or select PASTE from the EDIT pulldown menu.
- The file can now be printed/saved as normal.
2. Copy the page image into a word processing program.
(This only works if you have a DeskJet, InkJet or Laser printer).
- Display the screen you want to print, then press the PRINT SCREEN key.
Although nothing "appears" to happen, a copy has been placed on the Windows
Clipboard (a temporary storage space). The copy will remain there
until additional material is copied or Windows is shutdown.
- Open the word processing program, place the cursor in the document
and then click on the PASTE button, or Select PASTE from the EDIT pulldown
menu. The image will appear in your document.
- The file can now be printed/saved as normal.
