IRB Policies & Procedures

UAF has specific policy regarding the involvement of human subjects in research based on the federal requirements specified in 45 CFR 46. This policy is applicable to all human subjects research done at UAF, funded through UAF or conducted by UAF personnel.

The IRB Procedures are formulated by the Office of Research Integrity and approved by the Institutional Official and the IRB. The procedures include, but are not limited to, details regarding protocol review, occupational health & safety, dealing with adverse events and reporting requirements.

IRB Members and support staff are indemnified by University of Alaska Board of Regents Policy P01.01.08.
