General Lab Training
All personnel on an IBC Registration must complete basic laboratory safety and hazardous waste training prior to beginning work with biohazards (rDNA, genetically modified organisms, and infectious agents). Laboratory Safety training is available online (http://www.uaf.edu/safety/lab_safety_6-18-07.ppt), while Hazardous Waste training is an offered in-person by EHS&RM and unit chemical hygiene or safety officers (list). EHS&RM is developing an online Hazardous Waste training program that should be available for Spring semester.
