UAF Veterinary
Services supports research in
the UAF Animal Facilities and in the Field. Veterinary Services
staff oversee animal health and welfare, provide diagnostic and
treatment services for research and breeding animals, perform
or assist in procedures and surgeries, advise and teach research
personnel regarding surgical, sampling and capture techniques,
etc.
The staff of the various UAF owned animal
facilities provided daily care for research and breeding animals and assist
in the maintenance of the animal facilities. They also provide
support for research projects conducted within the facility.
