Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap assists rural & Alaska Native students interested in becoming a teacher in rural Alaska, Students will receive tutoring assistance (via audio and internet) and the opportunity to travel to Fairbanks to work with instructors and tutors face-to-face. Financial assistance includes tuition for required math, English and education course. Workshops for Bridging the Gap will be offered to strengthen student understanding of mathematical concepts and to help develop a cohort of future educators. Bridging the Gap is also supporting student study sessions and travel, registration and fees for Praxis testing.
