Every year, the Honors Program recognizes it's newest members with the Honors Induction Celebration.

This year, it will be Sunday, August 26, 2012. The Honors Induction Celebration will be held in the Wood Center Ballroom on the UAF campus from 6:00-7:00 PM. Check in is from 5:00-5:45 PM.

In this, our new Honors students will kick off their New Student Orientation week!

Ceremonily we have campus dignitaries such as our Chancellor, Provost, Vice Provost and several Vice Chancellors in attendance. As such, business casual dress is appropriate for this momentous occasion.

So what do you need to do to get geared up for the Induction Celebration as a new student? Here's a great way to start:

• Register for the Honors Induction Celebration.
   
• Invite your friends and family to join in our celebration of your accomplishment.
   
• Consider staying after the celebration to mingle and get to know your fellow classmates, the Honors staff and campus administrators. Take advantage of this great opportunity to network.
   
• The Honors Student Advisory Council (HSAC) is asking students to bring TWO cans of food to donate to the Fairbanks Food Bank. As of Fall 2012, you are encouraged to complete 100 hours of service during your time with Honors and what better way to get you started than with your first hour in the program?
