UAF honors classes are small-20 students at most.

UAF honors faculty are chosen for their skill as classroom teachers, as well as their enthusiasm and expertise. Professors respect your intellect and expect you’ll be an equal partner in taking responsibility for your education.

UAF honors courses are often in a seminar format, with more open dialogue and less “busywork” and routine assignments.

UAF honors students are encouraged to forge their own paths. They get the resources and encouragement to pursue research and international studies.

You can get Honors credits for courses in all disciplines. Many are designed just for honors students and are often interdisciplinary. Other courses are enriched sections of standard university courses that frequently satisfy university core requirements.
