The Division of General Studies is proud to announce Barbara Taylor, Ph.D, Associate Professor Biology in Neuroscience has accepted the position of Director of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity (URSA).  Barbara completed her undergraduate work in Biology at the University of British Columbia, Canada, received a M.S. in Marine Biology in 1990 and a Ph.D. in Marine Biology from the University of British Columbia in 1997. Following postdoctoral positions at the University of Calgary and Dartmouth Medical School, she moved to the University of Alaska Fairbanks as an Assistant Professor in 2003.  She began her duties on July 1, 2011 and will continue her teaching and research activities.  Barbara can be reached at ext 2487 or betaylor@alaska.edu
