The UAF Greek Council is more than an Inter-Greek Organization with the purpose of maintaining Greek life for our campus.  Made up of Alaska’s first social sorority and fraternity, the UAF Greek Council has faced and overcome many challenges not familiar to the sorority/fraternity chapters which reside in long-established collegiate Greek systems.

While offering the opportunities for leadership, community service, and, above all, close friendships, we invite other Greek organizations to become involved, not only in maintaining, but CREATING Alaska’s first Social Greek system.  We have the unique opportunity to create without the pressures and influences of the “traditional stereotypes” so often placed upon Greek organizations, therefore making Greek Life what we want it to be.  That which the UAF Greek Council builds in Fairbanks is the foundation for Greek life throughout Alaska.  We truly are pioneers in the “Last Frontier.”
