Alaska Legal Services - seeks dependable volunteer to help in their busy law office.  Contact Angela - 452-5181

Alaska Public Lands Information Center - seeks volunteers to provide visitor assistance, assist with group tours, bookstore, and independent projects, call 456-0527

Big Brothers, Big Sisters or Big Couples, needed for kids ages 6-16.  A "big" spends 3-5 hours a week with a child serving as a friend, mentor and role-model (1 year commitment required).  Call 452-8110 for more information.

Boys & Girl's Club - seeks volunteers  to mentor kids on computers; 1-2 hours per week in the PowerUP; Bridging the Digital Divide program.  Contact Ben Hammond - 457-5223 for more information.

Fairbanks Rescue Mission - seeks volunteers (age 16+) to answer phones/serve as a receptionist in administrative office at 723 27th Ave.  Monday through Friday (days and hours are flexible) or Saturday and Sunday 10am - 3pm.  Also seeking female (age 18+) to volunteer as Learning Center Monitor 2 days/week.  Contact Kathy at 452-5343

Volunteers In Policing seek citizens to conduct evening patrols, Tuesday - Saturday.  VIP initiates neighborhood crime awareness and prevention methods.   Must be 21, submit application and pass background check.  Contact Elizabeth at 451-4475 for more information.
