BEQUEST AND PLANNED GIVING

A planned gift is any gift made through a donor's estate planning instrument, such as a will or trust, or is any irrevocable gift in which the donor retains an interest (such as ones that provide lifetime income payments to the donor). You can use gift planning, including life-income gifts and bequests, to provide meaningful support for the UAF’s teaching and research while enjoying financial and tax benefits for you and your family.

To find out more about UAF’s many planned gift options and which ones might be best for you, visit www.alaska.edu/foundation/planned_giving/ or contact Development director Emily Drygas at 907-474-6631 or emily.drygas@alaska.edu.

Legacy Society

The UAF Legacy Society recognizes donors who have made provisions to include UAF in their estate plans. UAF celebrates the 102 current members of the Legacy Society. Members are highlighted in the Foundation's Annual Report on Giving.

Note: The UA Foundation presents a free annual estate planning seminar in the spring. The seminar provided updates on financial planning and recent legislated tax changes. Keep an eye out for the 2014 seminar next May.
