Bequest and planned giving
Planned giving is an excellent way for a donor to support UAF in a way that leaves an incredible legacy and impact. The UAF Legacy Society recognizes donors who have made provisions to include UAF in their estate plans. UAF celebrates the 144 current members of the Legacy Society. Members are highlighted in the Foundation's Annual Report on Giving.
A planned gift is any gift made through a donor's estate planning instrument, such as a will or trust, or is any irrevocable gift in which the donor retains an interest (such as ones that provide lifetime income payments to the donor). Planned giving, including life-income gifts and bequests, allow the donor to provide meaningful support in the manner they choose in addition to possible financial and tax benefits to themselves and their family.
To find out more about UAF’s many planned gift options, please contact the Development and Alumni Relations Office at 907-474-2619. An additional resource includes the UAF Planned Giving brochure.
Note: The UA Foundation presents a free annual estate planning seminar in the spring. The seminar provided updates on financial planning and recent legislated tax changes.
