Dick Engebretson, AGC member, presents a check for $25,000 to Jake Poole, UAF Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Community Engagement. Th e Associated General Contractors of Alaska (AGC) donated the money in December to the University of Alaska Fairbanks to establish the endowed AGC Scholarship for students who are members of the AGC Student Chapter at UAF. The AGC of Alaska is a non-profit, full service construction association for commercial and industrial contractors. AGC has served as a network to create new business and as a forum for the exchange of ideas for more than 50 years. Many of its members do business with UAF and the scholarship fund will be not only a way of giving back, but also a way of training potential future employees.
