Ted Stevens Papers Project Fund: This fund supports the former Senator Ted Stevens political papers, collected during his 41-year senatorial career. Current work includes reviewing each of the 4700+ boxes of materials, producing special Senator Ted Stevens Gallery exhibits, and outreach activities throughout Alaska. 

Rasmuson Library Archives Fund
: This fund supports care for materials in the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives, which houses the library’s special collections; support for students and interns; equipment and supplies. 

Oral History Support Fund
: This fund supports the collection of new interviews, care of the over 11,000 oral history recordings at the Rasmuson Library, support of Project Jukebox, and making the recordings available to patrons, online and in person.

Senator Frank Murkowski Historical Preservation of Papers: This fund supports the preservation of papers from former Senator Frank Murkowski’s 21-year senatorial career. 

Archival Films Project Fund
: This fund supports the care of historical films and videos, and the many other formats in which the library receives footage. All formats are unstable and must be digitized to preserve the footage and make it available to researchers and the public
 
Rasmuson Library Dean’s Fund:   This fund allows the Dean of Libraries to support the library’s areas of immediate and greatest need, including the addition of needed books and databases, additional staff for special projects, equipment, facilities maintenance and renovation, research and professional development. 

UAF Annual Fund
: Through annual giving at UAF, alumni, parents, employees and friends support the university’s areas of immediate and greatest need, including scholarships, fellowships, equipment, facilities maintenance and renovation, research and faculty recruitment and retention.
 
Endowments explained:
Spendable: The portion of the endowment that is reserved for immediate use rather than long-term investment.

Principal: The portion of the endowment which is invested by the UA Foundation as a part of its portfolio. A portion of the earnings is made available as spendable when a minimal level is reached. A gift to the endowment principal is viewed as being for longer-term use.
