Megan Damario was born and raised in Fairbanks and has been part of the UAF Development team for five years. In her current role as Lead Development Officer, Megan is charged with building long-lasting relationships and raising major gifts for UAF . Megan previously served as the UAF Director of Annual Giving. Megan is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and currently serves on the Alumnus editorial board for the UAF Alumni Association.
Megan, a two-time graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, holds an undergraduate degree in Communication (2006) and a Master’s in Professional Communication (2011). As an undergraduate student, Megan took advantage of UAF’s National Exchange program and attended Western Washington University. Upon graduation in 2006, Megan was awarded a BP Alaska Scholarship through the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars and spent a summer in Washington D.C. as an intern for a public relations company.
In her free time, Megan enjoys jogging, outdoor activities such as camping and fishing, and traveling. Megan is surrounded by and spends much of her time with family and friends, many of whom are also UAF alumni.
