Specialization and Research Interests

 

Dr. Echelmeyer's current research interests include theoretical and field studies of glacier and ice sheet dynamics, glacier-volcano interaction, numerical modelling of viscous flow, and applications of satellite positioning techniques (GPS) and geophysical methods to glaciology and geodynamics. Teaching includes ice physics, geodynamics/continuum mechanics and glaciology.
