International opera star Vivica Genaux performs with accompanist Craig Rutenberg in the Charles Davis Concert Hall during a recital on New Year's Day 2004. Genaux grew up in Fairbanks and returned home for the benefit concert in appreciation of three organizations which influenced her rise to stardom: the Fairbanks Concert Association, the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and the UAF Music Department.
