The Maintenance Division has the responsibility of maintaining the integrity and appearance of all buildings, equipment, and infrastructure for the Fairbanks campus, as well as five rural campuses around the state. UAF Facilities Services Maintenance Division cares for approximately 257 buildings with close to four million square feet, which is 55% of the total square footage of the entire University statewide system. The average age of the UAF buildings are 28.9 years.
The Maintenance Division is comprised of six shops:
