Long & Short-Term Storage

The Aurora Building is located at 1855 Marika Drive in Aurora Subdivision. Approximately half of the building, 25,000 square feet, is operated by Facilities Services for long and short term university storage. The purpose of this designated storage area is to provide a secure, convenient, cost-effective option for storing records, program materials, and other items for the university community.

The facility is accessible Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, excluding University holidays. Users requiring additional access may be accommodated with special arrangements.

The storage facility is a cost recovery operation and therefore charges for storage. During FY13 the per month cost for heated storage is 70 cents per square foot of storage space and the unheated area is 55 cents per square foot. All money received for departmental storage directly supports the maintenance and debt service of the building. Billing is accomplished by journal vouchers submitted by Facilities Services' Leasing Department during the fiscal year to a fund/org designated by each department. A small administrative recharge fee of 5% is also charged.
