The mission of the Division of Operations - Custodial Services is
to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the interiors of campus buildings by providing the highest possible
quality of custodial services.
|
Shop Summary
|
The Custodial Shop is composed of the Contracted Custodial and In-House
Custodial shops under the Custodial Superintendent.
The buildings used every day of the week as well as some others are cleaned by contractor
and inspected by several UAF Supervisor/Inspectors to obtain the best possible
environment within the parameters of the contract.
Other buildings are cleaned by crews of UAF Custodians under their Custodial Supervisors
to also achieve the best results for the available manpower.
The residences are cleaned during the day while all others are cleaned during the night shift.
The campus-wide goal of the Custodial department is to provide a professional, safe, and
comfortable environment for the students, faculty, staff and guests to enjoy.
We are dedicated to providing an indoor atmosphere to facilitate the pursuit of higher
education by students throughout their term at UAF.
