The mission of the Division of Maintenance - Carpentry Shop is to maintain the appearance and integrity of the
University buildings using the highest standards in quality, materials, and workmanship.

Shop Summary
|
The Carpentry shop supervisor reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.
The shop consists of full time and student employees. There are journeyman
carpenters, apprentice carpenters, lead certified painters, locksmiths, and carpet layer/tile setters.
The Carpentry Shop has a wide variety of specialties; interior and exterior painting, glass work, locks/keys, all phases
of carpentry, and flooring. This shop performs maintenance and renovation tasks to the UAF campus as well as the
outlying community campuses throughout the state.
