06/13/08 - Next CPAT Testing Date Announced - The next CPAT testing will be administered on Tuesday September 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Station 2, 1950 S. University Avenue, Fairbanks, AK 99709. To be considered for this recruitment, you will need to submit an online application between July 1 - August 29, 2008 on the following website: www.uakjobs.com. Applications need to be submitted no later than August 29th at 5:00 p.m. This testing will be for the December 2008 hire unless an earlier hire is deemed necessary.

05/27/08 - Summer Recruit Academy - Our Summer Recruit Academy is now underway here, in Fairbanks.We hired thirteen new Student Firefighters on May 27th, all of which will be graduating from the Academy on June 14th. We would like to extend a hearty congratulations to our new company members!

02/19/08 - New Mobile Training Unit - We are happy to announce that we recently received a grant from the Division of Homeland Security for $360,000 toward the purchase of a 53 foot Mobile Training Unit (MTU). The unit will help us to meet training requirements on site.

02/19/08 - Summer Fire Academy - Normally, our Summer Fire Academy begins in June. This year, however, we have decided to start the academy on May 27th. The agility testing for the academy will take place on April 26th and 27th. Qualified applicants will be contacted the week of March 25th regarding the testing.
