Filmworks in conjunction with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Department of Theatre/Film Is casting a feature film, entitled “alaskaLand”, a story about a young, Nigerian-American man that must figure out how to navigate between these competing identities in his hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska.

60 EXTRAS - PARKING LOT SCENE AT THE BAR - (scene contains fictitious drugs/alcohol)
- females that look like they are 16 year olds that are trying to look like they are 21
- males in their late teens, early 20s and mid-20s
100 EXTRAS - PARTY SCENE – (scene contains fictitious drugs/alcohol/sexual content) - people of all races and genders; ages 18- 25

Let's Make a Movie class at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will be producing a short film in the fall semester of 2010.
Approximately 10 SENIOR actors over 65 years old are needed for major and minor roles.
Approximately 20 actors between 18-50 are needed for minor roles.
One male lead aged 18-25 is also being cast.
Auditons will be held at the UAF Regent's Great Hall in the Fine Arts Complex on

CONDITIONS:
-PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES MUST HAVE a considerable degree of alteration and visual manipulation. No images simply captured by digital camera and/or printed with digital printer will be accepted!
-Timeline based entries (video, animation, etc): Provide either: DVD capable of playing on common DVD player or a fi le in a standard computer video format (QuickTime, avi, mpeg4, etc.).
-Accepted work that requires projection with the artist not being able provide the means of display will be included in a looped group projection.
-Internet based work: please provide URL and specific instructions for viewing.
