MOTION PASSED (2 nays)
==============

The UAF Faculty Senate moves to clarify that the 2/3 voting
procedure to move an item to the C list would require 2/3 positive
votes cast for an item to move. Abstentions would be counted in the
total.

	EFFECTIVE:  	Immediately

	RATIONALE: Point of order was made for clarification.
		Moving an item from the B list to the C list should
		require 2/3 positive votes of the total votes cast to
		move.

The UAF Faculty Senate passed the following at its Meeting #51A on
September 22, 1994:

MOTION PASSED (1 nay)
==============

The UAF Faculty Senate moves to recommend that Governance be
place on the B list for Program Assessment.

	EFFECTIVE:  	Immediately

	RATIONALE: The original motion to place Governance on
		the C list failed. Senators felt that placing Governance
		on the C list would not be a wise utilization of time.
		Thus they recommended placing Governance on the B list,
		so that it would not be in limbo.

The UAF Faculty Senate passed the following at its Meeting #51A on
September 22, 1994:

MOTION PASSED (3 nays)
==============

The UAF Faculty Senate moves to recommend that the UAF Police
Department be placed on the C list for Program Assessment.

	EFFECTIVE:  	Immediately

	RATIONALE: Although the Police Department recently
		underwent an external review, this review was mainly
		focusing on the security aspects of the department. By
		placing the Police Department on the C list, it will
		enable the unit to undergo a more comprehensive review
		regarding their function and effectiveness. Also, it was
		suggested to review the unit to see how it works
		together with the Fire Department, which is on the C
		list.

The UAF Faculty Senate passed the following at its Meeting #51A on
September 22, 1994:

MOTION PASSED (4 abstentions)
==============

The UAF Faculty Senate moves to recommend that University of
Alaska Statewide Development and Foundation program be placed on
the C list for Program Assessment. Note: This item will be
forwarded to the Faculty Alliance for further consideration.

	EFFECTIVE:  	Immediately

	RATIONALE:  	Since the Statewide "investment
		management" function (under Finance) is on the C list,
		a coordinated review of the accounting/investment
		responsibilities within the Development and Foundation
		office may show ways to realign for greater efficiency
		and cost savings. Also, all UA functions that are
		duplicated at the campus level to identify unnecessary
		overlap, as well as opportunities for savings.
