Dear staff and faculty,

Last month, UA President Pitney communicated a change in COVID-19 vaccination requirements for employees at the UAF Troth Yeddha' Campus as a result of President Biden’s executive order. Since that Nov. 2 communication, UA HR has sent additional emails to UAF employees regarding COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

As you may know, earlier this week a federal district court in Georgia issued a nationwide injunction that blocks implementation of President Biden’s executive order that created the federal contractor COVID-19 vaccine mandates. President Pitney is working with legal counsel and others to determine the impacts of this injunction on UAF’s Troth Yeddha’ employee vaccine requirement.

Please be patient as this issue is worked out. I expect a UA-wide message to come from the president in this regard in the coming day or two.

Thanks for choosing UAF.

— Dan White, chancellor
